Yogi Adityanath government identifying good senior officials!

Senior government officials in Uttar Pradesh are asked to prepare detailed PowerPoint presentations abut their respective departments and present it in front of the Chief Minister.

This exercise could turn out to be a measuring stick for the Yogi government to identify good officials. It will naturally help CM Yogi identify good officers who have the potential to deliver results in future.

It is an exercise meant to keep Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his ministers abreast of the exact status of works in progress and the future plans of each department in tune with the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’.

These presentations are a massive exercise as each department has to collate a lot of information. They should present the works undertaken by their department for the last five years. The presentation should contain the department’s achievements and its failures. The problems faced by the department in the implementation of its schemes should be highlighted.

This series of presentations began on April 3. The chief minister has fixed three hours each day (from 6pm to 9pm) on different dates for all departments and this exercise will end on April 20.

Besides being appraised of the status of work, Yogi also expects his officials to present their vision for the departments they head.

If you propose a new scheme, you are expected to explain the financial implications the scheme involves. The officials are expected to suggest ways to get maximum benefits from the Centre under the current situation.
