New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the love between Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is stronger than Laila-Majnu.
Addressing an election rally in Kishanganj in Bihar Owaisi said when the love story of Nitish Kumar and PM Modi will be written; it’s up to the people to decide that between the two, who is Laila and who is Majnu.
“Nitish Kumar aur Narendra Modi ki aashiqui badi mazboot ashiqui hai. Laila-Majnu se bhi zyada mohabbat in dono mein hai (The love between Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and PM Modi is very strong. It is stronger than love of Laila-Majnu),” Asaduddin Owaisi said.
He further said when this love story between the two will be chronicled it won’t be about love but for spreading hate between Hindu and Muslims and added that when the duo joined hands tension between the two communities escalated.
Known for his strong statements on PM Modi and the BJP government, Owaisi had earlier called PM Modi a ‘factory of lies’ and added that he is the chairman of that factory and lying to the people of this country is like child’s play for him and his party. Here, Owaisi was referring to the BJP’s promise of job creation.
After the dastardly Pulwama attack, the AIMIM president slammed the PM and asked whether he “was sleeping after eating beef biryani” while 40 CRPF men died.
Owaisi, who represents the Hyderabad constituency in Lok Sabha, also hit out at the Centre over the ongoing Jet airways crisis and said that the government can’t give away Rs 1500 crore of the taxpayers’ money to the company.
After BJP, Owaisi targeted the Congress and accused the grand old party of seeking minority votes by saying that Muslims are unsafe under the BJP rule even though Bhagalpur riots and unlocking of the Babri mosque premises took place when they were in power.
“You must not forget this party was in power in Bihar as well as at the Centre when the Bhagalpur riots took place and when the premises of the Babri Masjid were unlocked,” Owaisi said.
